While metal is great, graphite can be finer...or is that kinder. Formed from a lightweight, but incredibly strong graphite composite, the GLD is the Sailfish reel of choice for many of Penn's Pro Staff Anglers. Geared fast enough to keep up with any sail charging the boat (or for some rapid-fire bait changers when they just can't seem to find the hook). Features include push button shifting system for easier gear changes, machine anodized aluminum spool, four sealed SS ball bearings and machined SS gears for a smooth performance, and a graphite rod clamp for easy attachment. Hint from a Pro. "Break in the bearings by pulling against the drag for a minute or two, and your reel will be as free as anything else out there."
